My lady needed a simple jewelry box for her jewelry.

I had no intention of keeping anything simple, so I used this piece as an excuse to learn marquetry techniques to create the image you see on top. Basically, I cut extremely thin pieces of wood to fit together as perfectly as I am capable of. I also got some brass hardware to compliment the walnut and fit the hardware with an assortment of hand tools.
