The crafting of this piece was a particular challenge due to the nature of wood as a building material. As soon as I glued my boards into panels to form the body of the cabinet, I was in a race against time. If I let my panels sit, they would warp and my miters would be imperfect, which is unacceptable. To avoid this issue I had to sand my panels flat, cut my miters, install all drawer hardware and housings, finish inside the drawer compartment and do a final sand on the inside then glue it up all in one day. It was a long day. The miters are perfect and the table sits happily in its home. To date, this is certainly some of my finer work.
